How to make Newspaper Seedling Pots

Hey guys!  So I am trying something new on the blog today.  I’ve started a Stoney Acres YouTube channel where I will be uploading gardening help videos! I hope to add a couple of videos each month!  I will start by adding a few clips from some of my video courses.

The first video I’ve uploaded is an excerpt from my Seed Starting Simplified video course, How to make Newspaper Seedling Pots.  The video shows a quick and easy way to make pots for your seedlings using newspaper!  These pots are simple to make, work pretty well for most seedlings and best of all they are free!!  Go take a look at this video and let me know what you think!  Also be sure to subscribe to my You Tube channel!

Here’s the video:

Great video, I think I could get my kids to do these! It’d be better than the paper airplanes they fold up now and throw all over the house. Thanks for sharing on the Homestead Blog Hop! I pinned it!

Could I use computer paper, or is it too thick? Great video p, by the way! Never thought of using paper!

Sheri, Computer paper would be fine, in fact maybe a little better because it would have few chemicals. If you feel like the roots aren’t going to get out of the pot through the paper, you can always peel the paper off as you are planting!

A toilet paper roll would work.
