Spring Flowers!

So we lean heavily to vegetables here at Stoney Acres, but here’s a little proof that we are about more that just food around here!

These are shots of the front flower bed, when we moved in this bed was a weedy mess.  Last fall we planted over 100 spring flowering tulips and daffodils and they are really starting to look great!  I can’t wait for next year when they will even look better after a year of getting established!

Here are some shots of our flowering cherry in full bloom, its a gorgeous tree this time of year.  Unfortunately we will be loosing this tree over the summer.  It’s in a huge amount of trouble, more than 60% of the tree has died off and the remaining tree is misshaped.  So it will be coming out soon and will be replaced with an almond tree.  So enjoy it while it lasts!!

Love all the tulips & daffies! The cherry tree is pretty but you are probably right to pull it out if it’s having issues. Have a lovely spring weekend. My spring bulbs have all passed, now we are onto roses!

No roses for us this year. There weren’t any planted when we moved in and I just haven’t had time to get to them, so next year for sure!!
