Hi I’m Rick Stone and I want to help you grow your own food this summer and spring is the perfect time for you to get started. This challenge is designed to get you started in only 5 days!!
Here’s what we will cover:
Day 1- Transplants and Seeds
Grab some plants and seeds! We will cover some of the easiest plants for you to be growing in your garden and I will give you some instructions on how to get a hold of both seeds and plants in order to get them planted by the end of the challenge
Day 2 – Choosing your plot
Today I will help you pick a spot for your garden. We will cover the best spots in your yard for planting vegetables. I will help you pick a spot for your garden plot (or containers) that will give you the best chance at a successful garden.
Day 3 – Amending Your Soil
Day 3 we will cover what you need to do to your soil to help give your veggie plants the best chance of producing a large and tasty crop. We will talk about amendments and using fertilizers.
Day 4 – Watering your Crops
70% to 80% of all garden problems stem from watering issues. Day 4 will get you on a firm foundation for watering your garden for success.
Day 5 – Let’s get planting
Today we will put together everything we have learned and get outside and put some seeds in the ground!

How much time will this 5-Day Challenge Take me?
Each day we will have 3 things for you to do:
- Every morning you will get an email that covers the day’s topic and give you the info you need to get started.
- Each Day there will be a pre-recorded video course covering the day’s topic and teaching you what you need to know to get started. Each video will be roughly 25 minutes long and you can watch it any time during the day.
- Each day you will have a homework assignment (don’t worry there won’t be a test). Homework will include buying seeds and plants, prepping your containers or garden site, and a few other tasks.
So plan on 30 or so minutes of learning followed by a chance to get out in the garden and get your hands dirty! There is also a beautiful workbook that goes along with each day!
The first round of the challenge starts on May 1, 2023
The cost for the challenge will be only $19.00!!
