I always buy from Dixondale..excellent quality. And for 2024, have already planted and yes with the fertilizer first recommended.

Oddly enough, i have found growing these onions do far better in my outside bins than inside my greenhouse. Probably a sun-thing.

I have a question. Can or should I plant more than one variety of onion seeds in the same 1020 tray?
Or would it be better to sow one variety per tray?

In reply to Christina Souza. I think you should always do seedlings for onions, it's pretty hard to grow from seeds directly in the garden. So you should be putting seedlings out in late November in your area according to everything I've read.

Your list for zone 9-10 says to plant onions in November. Does that mean seed (directly in ground), start seedlings inside, buy seedlings and put those out? We have no real frost date as it rarely frosts. Only one night last year did we get under 35. I’m in the Fresno area of CA, so very warm. Any help would be much appreciated.
