Welcome to Stoney Acres!!
We grow vegetables, bake bread, raise a few chickens and do all we can to be self-sufficient. This blog is our attempt to share what we have learned on our tiny northern Utah urban homestead that sits in Zone 6a. Our neighbors probably roll their eyes when they see cabbages in the flower beds and chickens chasing bugs around the yard but we get to taste the rewards (and sometimes so do they). We are by no means experts and often learn more from our mistakes than our victories but we’re trying and we hope to have some fun sharing with you.
